Welcome to School year 2011-12
A few words about this year’s school bus routes...There have been no major changes to the routes this year not to say changes have not occurred.   The times are approximate and will change as the year progresses.  Usually these changes are subtle and may occur naturally.  Every effort will be made to notify parents of major changes due to re-routing, bus changes, etc.  Students need to be at their designated stop 10 Minutes before the scheduled bus arrival time. All students will be assigned a seat on the bus by the driver in accordance with School District Policy. Any item brought on the bus must be able to be carried in the student's backpack or be able to fit on there laps.  This includes but is not limited to backpacks, musical instruments, science projects, etc.  Items cannot be left on an empty seat as they become missile hazards in the event the bus must stop quickly.  We highly encourage students to read or study while on the bus if time permits, however, writing instruments (pens, pencils, markers, etc.) may not be used during the ride to/from school or while on field/athletic trips.   Please check with your school to determine their policy regarding permissible items allowed in the building.  Use of cell phones by students is not permitted on the bus at any time except in the event of an emergency or to notify a parent when they will be arriving home. The bus driver has the authority to prevent any item that he/she feels may presents a safety hazard from being brought onto the bus. Any questions or concerns on your student’s bus stop may be addressed by calling the Westerly Transportation Office at 401-348-9430, or sending an email to Peter Denomme, Transportation Coordinator, pdenomme@westerly.k12.ri.us or Lisa Bennett, Dispatcher, lbennett@westerly.k12.ri.us .

2011-12 Bus Schedule
This years bus schedule will be posted on this site on Thursday, August 25, 2011.  It will also be published in the Westerly Sun, Sunday addition news paper on August 28, 2011.  I would like to wish all the students a safe and happy return to this school year.
Pick-up Times
Students should be at their bus stop and ready to board the school bus at least 10 minutes prior to their scheduled time.
New Bus Routes
All routes are subject to change, so please check back often throughout the school year.
