****Students need to be at their designated stop 10 Minutes before the scheduled bus arrival time. All students will be assigned a seat on the bus by the driver in accordance with School District Policy.
****Any item brought on the bus must be able to be carried in the student's backpack or be able to fit on their laps. This includes but is not limited to backpacks, musical instruments, science projects, etc. Items cannot be left on an empty seat as they become missile hazards in the event the bus must stop quickly.
****We highly encourage students to read or study while on the bus if time permits, however, writing instruments (pens, pencils, markers, etc.) may not be used during the ride to/from school or while on field/athletic trips.
****Please check with your school to determine their policy regarding permissible items allowed in the building.
****The bus driver has the authority to prevent any item that he/she feels may presents a safety hazard from being brought onto the bus.
****Any questions or concerns on your studentís bus stop may be addressed by calling the Westerly Transportation Office at 401-348-9430, or sending an email to Susan Guarino, Interim Director of Transportation, firstname.lastname@example.org or Lisa Smigiel, Dispatcher, email@example.com .
